Our Integrated Demonstration: A Sequence of Tactile Tasks
We are excited to participate in the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2024, where we will present a demonstration highlighting the capabilities of our uSkin Sensors integrated within force-controlled grippers. Our participation will feature a demonstration broken down into three sequential parts, each designed to showcase different aspects of our uSkin Sensors' capabilities.
Sensing Demo
The demonstration begins with the 3-axis touch capabilities of our distributed sensors. In this segment, the sensors detect varying shapes and contours, with the results visualised in real-time on a screen. This part emphasises the precision with which our sensors can interpret and react to detailed geometrical data, crucial for tasks requiring accurate shape recognition.
Grasping Demo
Following the initial showcase, the demonstration transitions to handling a fragile object. Here, the gripper delicately grasps the object without deforming it’s shape. This segment demonstrates the gripper's ability to apply minimal necessary force.
Pick and Place
The final part of our demonstration involves a pick-and-place task. The gripper picks up an irregularly shaped fragile object and places it on a sloped surface, testing the adaptability and control of our system. This segment highlights the potential of our technology in automated assembly lines and piece picking operations.
We invite all attendees at ICRA 2024 to visit our booth and see our technology in action. Feel free to come by, ask questions, and discuss how XELA Robotics can assist with your specific applications. We're here to help and look forward to exploring potential solutions with you.
